First Garden Design is based in Witney Oxfordshire. Through many years of hands-on construction we have gained the experience that now proves it is important to design and create a garden that not only meets “the busy lifestyle”, but also needs to be aware of the change in our climate.
First Garden Design understands that designing a garden is about constructing physical structures in the real world whether it be constructing a Patio, erecting a Pergola or constructing a Water Feature. It is insufficient to design from purely an artistic point of view. Patios need to be built with a particular paving stone in mind because paving is supplied in different sizes and pergolas have to be based upon the seating area beneath. That is why when we design a garden it includes a list of materials on which it is based.
Ponds are great but their careful site position is important because overhanging trees and shrubs will easily blow leaves and debris into the water, so it is also paramount that the right sized filter is used. All in all garden design must be based on real-life structures, which is on what First Garden Design is proud.
In some new housing estates, local council planning departments now require full planning consent to be approved even for a simple pergola or the extension of a patio, which we take on as part of our comprehensive service. With our practical garden creation experience we provide not only individual and intuitive designs, but those which will meet your local council requirement.
