This project was to design a modern garden for a professional client in Chesham. They have many visiting friends and enjoy entertaining. From the customer’s comments, the design meets their brief and beyond.
The creation is now completed and meets the client’s desire to provide calm, relaxing areas with a provision of two modern garden water features near the house. Cardinal red focal points demand attention throughout the site.
The Garden is over an acre in size, and the design was to entice its visitors towards the entertaining area. This section provides a children’s treehouse and somewhere where the adults can sit and chat round the Firepit.
A broad pathway entices a person from the house to a solid red metal wall focal point. A spike light highlights and individual Acer Palmatum tree, viewed from the wall’s porthole. The person is then enticed to follow the pathway to the entertaining and children’s activity area.
Large shrub borders will provide privacy and all year-round interest without a huge amount of maintenance effort.
Ken has been intuitive and instinctively understood our needs, wants and expectations. He has worked tirelessly, gone above and beyond duty to facilitate the enhancements and improvements within the garden of our new home. His knowledge, expertise, attention to detail is combined with a passion for both hard and soft garden design. He has sourced and introduced us to landscapers and fabricators that he felt were suitable. He has also helped to select the companies most able to complete the project to a required standard.
Ken is a rare breed in that he is able to create beauty but also combine this with practically in a way that very few people are able or willing to do. We cannot recommend him highly enough!
